The Registrar
The Registrar was the administrative head of the institution and led the very diverse office referred to as the Registry. This comprised a great number of sections which worked with issues such as legal aid and defence, court management, victims and witnesses, detention of accused as well as translation and interpretation. The Registry also worked with diplomatic and policy issues and contained the administrative functions of the Tribunal as a body of the United Nations. This covered subjects like finance and budget, personnel, public information, security, travel and archiving.
