BIOGRAPHY
I am a Swedish photographer based in The Hague in the Netherlands. I photograph beautiful, humorous and sometimes strange happenings in everyday life. My aim is to create compelling images of a very high technical standard to which one should wish to return again and again. That is the ideal image for me.
I enjoy making photo projects, large and small, of subjects that interest me and I am open to commissions worldwide. So if you have a location that you would like to have photographed be sure to contact me for details. You will find a selection of the various things I’ve done under Works.
Notwithstanding today’s digital world and instant photographic gratification, ever-increasing camera specs and constant upgrade hysteria, I have never even considered leaving film. In fact, today’s developments in photography, optics, computers and software are reason to continue to use the magical, luscious and visceral medium that is film.
This may seem strange, but I know I am not alone in believing that the considered, deliberate and sometimes challenging process required for proper film photography is the best way to photograph. In my view, this traditional thoughtful approach to photographic visualisation combined with a modern hybrid workflow using high-end film scanners is the best way to enjoy and share photography.
In other words, in the history of the world there has never been a better time to shoot film. If you haven’t yet done so, I encourage you to give it a go.
If you’d like to see what I do when I’m not behind a camera please have a look at my LInkedIn profile. I used to be active on Instagram, and among other things ran the Hasselblad Film Gallery and co-founded Leica & Film Friends, but quite honestly Instagram is a waste of time.
