Cities & Architecture

Today more than half of all humans in the known universe live in cities or urban areas. It is difficult not to spend time in a city, town or village wherever one goes. That is not meant to sound negative; there are enormous benefits to urbanisation and it’s quite clear that human civilisation would not have reached to where it is and have the great and fascinating cultural diversity that it has were it not for those clever people during the neolithic era who began to congregate in larger settlements.

But that’s not really what this series is about. It is a growing collection of cityscapes and architectural photographs.
